Artist Biography
David Sinclair

Born 1937.

Studied Drawing and Painting at the Glasgow School of Art under William and Mary Armour and David Donaldson.

Awarded a Post Diploma and the major traveling scholarship and studied in Holland, Paris and London.

Exhibits regularly at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the SSA, the SAAC and the RSW, showing paintings and etchings from his own press.

In 1995 he won the Murray Thompson Award at the Royal Scottish Academy; and in 1997 he was the winner of the Morrison Portrait Award held in the Royal Scottish Academy. He was elected to membership in the Royal Scottish Academy in 2001.

His work is included in public and private collections, and he has shown work in one-man, two-man and group exhibitions in the following galleries:
