Since 1983, Thos. Deans and Co. has specialized in British watercolors, drawings, and selected oil paintings, primarily from the years 1750 to 1950. More recently our inventory has included works by established living artists.

Our Approach
We believe that the collector of modest means is as important as the museum or corporate collector. We aim to offer a spectrum of pictures within the reach of most. New clients are often surprised by the opportunities to buy original works by well-documented British artists at modest prices. And we delight in introducing new collectors to this rich and varied field where it is still possible to own the work of a great artist.

Presentation: Conservation and Mounting
The condition of drawing or watercolor is all-important. Every item that passes through our hands receives careful conservation where necessary. It is then presented in a specially designed handmade mount of museum standard, usually with traditional washline decoration, which displays the drawings to best advantage. Many are framed in period frames or modern frames of hand-finished gold leaf.

 Visiting Us
We presently maintain two locations, in Atlanta, Georgia and Tallahassee, Florida. Our gallery in Atlanta is located in the Tula Art Center at 75 Bennett Street, just off Peachtree, in the heart of the South-Buckhead antiques district. The gallery is located in a charmingly restored 1930s brick cottage in Tallahassee, the capital of the state.

Because our client list spans several continents, we offer a mail-order service for those who cannot visit the gallery in person. For this service, we charge only the cost of shipping by a professional carrier.
