Evans Amy

“Clouds on the Ground” marks the Atlanta debut of New Jersey photographer Amy Evans. Her beautiful and intensely atmospheric panoramic landscapes cast a spell through a cunning repetition of form, creating a new and seductive “reality” from a single image recombined. Evans photographs only on misty days, and her photographs' soft atmospheric sepia and colors combine with contemporary techniques to evoke the dreamlike landscapes of memory.

Amy Evans has been a photographer for the past twenty years. She earned a BFA in photography from The Cooper Union in 1986 and an MA from Kean University in 1995. She has received multiple grants from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and her work has been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries.
